Maintenance Schedule
After you have made the smart decision to purchase your brand new 2015 Subaru Outback, it's time to start thinking about making it last for the next hundred thousand miles to come. While it's easy to put aside now, you will be hitting certain maintenance intervals before you know it, and it's important to be prepared and knowledgeable of these markers in the life of your Subaru. Some of these maintenance markers can be performed in your own garage, while some of them require taking your Subaru to the dealership for a full check up. It is obviously important to stay on top of basic things like checking and changing your oil, checking power steering fluids, windshield wiper fluid, and wear and tear on your brake pads. The more complicated maintenance intervals performed at the dealership entails professionals running diagnostic scans to check for updates and even checking your engine, transmission, drive train and suspension to make sure they are wearing properly. Without following these service intervals in your owner's manual, you could shorten the life of your brand new Subaru. Making sure to stay on top of your car's maintenance schedule can extend the life of your Subaru by years.Â

Oil Type and Capacity
Since you've made the decision to make a life long investment and buy a 2015 Subaru Outback, it's time to start taking the necessary steps to ensure it will in fact last you a lifetime. Subaru is incredibly proud and well known for their ability to build cars, and especially engines, that can withstand hundreds of thousands of miles of wear and tear. The key to keeping your engine in tip top shape and long lasting is regular oil changes with the proper oil. Whether you change it yourself or leave it to the professionals at your local Subaru dealership, it's crucial that you use synthetic oil. Synthetic oil is important because it's incredibly slippery, resulting in considerably less engine wear. When the cold weather comes, synthetic oil flows more easily throughout your engine, meaning there is no loss of prime when it is cold outside. Subaru reccomends synthetic oil because it means longer engine life, better chemical stability, and improved fuel economy. It's the cheapest way to insure your vehicle's longevity. |
