Maintenance Schedule
|
You've finally made the big step to purchase your brand new 2015 Subaru Forester. While it may not seem like it's detrimental to start thinking about regular maintenance for your brand new Forester, it is key to follow scheduled maintenance intervals to ensure that your Subaru will last you a lifetime. Subaru is incredibly well known for their ability to build cars that last for hundreds of thousands of miles, something most car makers are now unable to achieve. To keep this legacy going, however, it is incredibly important that you follow the maintenance markers highlighted in your owner's manual. At certain intervals throughout the life of your Subaru Forester, it is important to make trips to the dealership so that they can perform regular checks on things you may not be able to. Running diagnostic scans for the latest updates and looking over the suspension of your vehicle are just a few of the things they will be checking for. However, not all maintenance steps require going to the dealership, as it is also highly recommended that you frequently check and change your oil, get your tires rotated, and even check the brake pads and brake fluid. Following all of these steps in your owner's manual will ensure that you and your Subaru Forester will have a long, happy life together. |

Oil Type and Capacity
|
With the purchase of your Subaru Forester comes responsibility. One of the most crucial things you can do to keep your Subaru Forester in tip top shape for the next several years or hundred thousand years, whichever comes first, is to stay on top of regular oil changes. Whether you choose to do it yourself or have the dealership for you, it's a simple task as well as affordable. Your first oil change should be preformed at either 7,500 miles or 7 and a half months, whichever marker you hit first. Subaru recommends you use synthetic 0w-20 oil to keep your engine running like the day you purchased it. Changing your oil at these 7,500 mile markers means maintaining your engine's horsepower, something you always want to take care of. |

Chassis and Powertrain
|
The 2015 Subaru Forester is solid from the tread up. Planted, composed with
plenty of ground clearance for its class, the 2015 Subaru Forester is as
happy on steep inclines as it is tooling down the highway or making a run to
the corner grocer. It also is quieter than most, none of the neighbors will
be at all aware just how powerful an engine you have under the hood. With a
103.9-inch wheelbase, 180.9 inches in overall length, 70.7 inches in width
without the mirrors, 68.2 inches in over all height and tipping the scale
with a base curb weight of 3,325 pounds, in addition to a strut suspension
up front and a double wishbone suspension in the rear, the 2015 Subaru
Forester is solidly built.
